Re: Seat comfort?

I think that was the trouble with the Volvo, too much bucket for me, along with being pretty stiff.

Re: Seat comfort?

Of all the SUVs that I have had over the years my current 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland is the most comfortable for extended trips. This summer I made the trip from my home in Calgary Alberta to Frankfort Michigan in early July and returned in late September over a variety of road conditions. The seats are firm and provide excellent lumbar support. It is difficult to isolate one feature such as seat design when many factors work together to provide a comfortable ride. The adjustable stirring wheel, pedal position, Adaptive Cruse Control, Air Conditioning & Heating, and suspension all work together to provide a great ride. One feature that is missing from the 2011 Grand Cherokee is the adjustable brake pedal. My 2007 Aspen had this feature and I wish they had included it in my current package. The Mercedes designers argue that firm seats are better over the long haul.

They are better than most cars I have had. I find leather seats harder than fabric, as it does not stretch as much as fabric, this can make them feel harder.
Just done a 1700km round trip 18 hours drivng.
Had to keep turning the but cooler off, got a frozen but.

The down side after 18hr day but/crotch gets a little umm smelly. (mine does)

The but cooler sucks all that and share it with all

That seat cooler could be appreciated by other passengers after a meal of hearty Mexican food, provided the fresh air intake is selected. Don't know if anybody has yet tried this technique to keep the cabin from getting malodorous...

Re: Seat comfort?

I too am coming from a 202 limited and I think the new seats are far harder that the older ones. I think its due to the butte fan. I wish they were softer but they are tolerable.

Re: Seat comfort?

Anybody else notice that the left side of the seat is not wide enough. My left leg feels like it is falling off the seat.

Other than that they are really comfortable. No problem with long drives.

Unhappy Re: Seat comfort?

I have a 2011 Laredo with cloth seats and I find the seats have been killing my lower back. I have tried adjusting the lumbar and seat height in every way possible but the lumbar never feels flush with the seat, always protruding out. I even took in into jeep and they said there was nothing they can do. I put in a call to Jeep corporate and am awaiting a response. Maybe mine just needs to be broken in more but it is doing some damage in the process
