Re: Seats - Full Leather?

Saddle is the nappa leather. Saddle is just the name of the color.

Re: Seats - Full Leather?

I ordered an 2011Overland with Black Leather, I requested Black Piping on the seats, has anyone else ordered seats like these? Did you get what you asked for? I really don't care for the gray piping that I have seen on most of stock Overland seats. Let me know......

I don't see how you're going to get black piping on the seats, unless you have it done aftermarket. As far as I know, there are no "special orders" like that.

Re: Seats - Full Leather?

On the Laredo X, is it that the smooth surfaces are vinyl and the rougher "creased" surfaces in the center of the seats are leather? If so, what are the differences in care for the two materials?

I have concerns about keeping the lighter color clean but with the panoramic sunroof I'm hoping the tan/gray interior will be a bit cooler...

Re: Seats - Full Leather?

Same exact partial leather on Limited and Laredo-X, identical seats in every way except for heated rear seats in Limited.

I have a Summit, and I noticed cloth in some areas, and what appears to be vinyl in the back seat sides. I assume the cloth is due to the air conditioned seats??? Here are a few snap shots, pardon the quality...

Cloth, front drivers seat:

60/40 rear seat folded ( look at the sides, they are cloth):

Vinyl or leather??? I think its vinyl, but could b wrong...Rear seat side:

Re: Seats - Full Leather?

Did you expect the backs of the rear seats to be leather? The backs of the rear seats are cloth/carpet covered, even on the Overland. It is to match the carpeting in the rear cargo area when the seats are folded down. Plus when they are folded down people are liable to actually stow cargo on them. I'm glad they're not leather.

Nowhere in my post did I ever mention seat backs! I am referring to the sides. I had to fold the 60/40 seat down so you can see the cloth sides... I will edit my post so i'm better understood. Cheers!

Re: Seats - Full Leather?

Whether it's full leather or not, I'm not happy with the leather quality. Mine has little over 1500 miles and it already has some wrinkles and some sort of fuzzy things coming out of holes for cooling fans.

Sorry I misread your post. The picture quality wasn't that great so the only cloth that I noticed in the picture was the carpeting on the seat back.

My Overland has the black leather seats and there is cloth on the sides of the seat down where the plastic panel is that has the power seat adjustments.I assumed that the designers figured that plastic would rub on the leather and wear it out over time and that the cloth that they put there would hold up better than leather.

Re: Seats - Full Leather?

Yeah, the quality of those iPhone pics, especially in low light is bad sometimes... Cloth and all, I'm Still happy with my purchase. I test drove an X5 with all of the features I have on my Summit. MSRP was over 70K! And no Air Suspension...
