Would make sense but it's also been mentioned, by Milous or Chevy IIRC, that at least for the tailgate issues, it's most likely the bumper assembly causing the tight fit which is hand-built/installed.
I got a kick out of the Cherokee being showed a bunch of times as well - it's like free marketing on the Travel Channel for a soon to be released vehicle (no love for the 2014 Durango, just the 2013 with a cameo on the assembly line)
Saw this last night. It's insane the amount of vehicles they pump through there a day and it looks like each person has little time to get everything put together and get it right. I can easily see how a new person can shut down a line due to the lack of experience. Seeing what they actually go through makes me respect these assemblers even more and I'm thankful for the quality work they perform there.
I get them not showing the Durango since this was a Jeep segment, but I laughed when they mentioned Jeep making stylish vehicle and the Cherokee was what was being shown on screen at the time.
