Check out the Andersen WDH. Lightweight and is ideal for your application. We use it with our JGC and our Lance 1685, which weighs around 4600/4700lbs.

Andersen 'No-Sway' Weight Distribution Hitch

It will make your TV/TT feel like a single unit.

Load leveling suspension does NOT transfer any weight to the front axels. That's why Jeep requires WDH for loads over 3500 in their specifications. So yes, you should be using it with your travel trailer for safety and stability.

just to add.. if you look at the whole system from the side, you'll see that the bars on the WDH are part of a big lever that pushes the front of the tow vehicle down.. that's why you need that big mutha drawbar with the trunnions for the bars.. there is a lot of force there..
