You're kidding right? Yes the STI is fun to drive, but you don't get good gas mileage...not with the 2.5L. I traded in my 2012 STI for my 2014 V6 GC 4x4 last April, and with a Cobb stage 1 tune, the best I got was 19 mpg...and that's with 93 octane gas.

I now average 22 mpg (I once saw 26 mpg on a long trip), and that's on 87 octane gas...which is 30 cents a gallon less!

I also like the extended range I now get with my 2014 GC, I usually go about 425 miles on a tank (almost TWICE the range than my STI) , and I haven't even made the switch to Mobil 1 yet!

Re: Selling my Jeep..

Have you thought about trading up to the new V6 Diesel GC? You may get a better trade in at the Jeep dealer. You never know.

I had a 2.0 Turbo Diesel in my Ford Mondeo and I filled up every two weeks. When I did a bit more traveling maybe once a week. Diesel torque is pretty impressive too plus you can chip them >. I've always loved Toyota trucks and currently drive a Lexus but Toyota just seem to be resting on their laurels lately. Kind of in the same way Honda did and look where that got them.

Sorta kinda... just trying to throw out another car line w/ good gas, AWD and other options (i.e. cargo space) he's losing by trading his Grand... I know I wouldn't want to go from a Hemi JGC to a 4cyl Camry.

Re: Selling my Jeep..

Why not just get the Prius v (the biggest one) and get 45 mpg? That way you can take advantage of the hatchback style of car instead of a trunk with the camary?

Granite Crystal Metallic. May not have the Jeep, but I'll still drop in and keep up with the news.
