Now I would like to take a minute to explain a few things....

Sponsors/Partners....

Dont get this twisted guys. This is not a freebie build. Yes, some parts are given, some are heavily discounted. A good majority of them are barely, if at all discounted. This all comes from MANY hours (think full time job) of emails, phone calls, proposals, etc. How can I give them some ROI (return on investment). The vast majority of this build is done on my dime, but I have some great partners who have really helped out as well.

Parts Choices....
Ever evolving. I change my mind/direction alot. I do not buy, or accept parts that I dont feel have a purpose on my build, or from sources I cannot truthfully promote in a positive fashion. Every part I use is my choice.

An Altitude, really?......
Yes, really. Ive already had a fully loaded 2012 Hemi qd2. It was great. First, I love the Altitude, especially the interior. Second, I wanted to prove that a wimpy lil qt1 v6 awd could hang. And it can. Youve been to my Youtube right? Im not trying to be extreme. Its not a JKU Rubicon on 37s. Its a luxurious, sexy, COMFORTABLE, and very capable Jeep that can go anywhere that I want to take it. I of course made it more capable, but the qt1 will surprise many.

No, But really, an ALTITUDE???.
..
My plans go deeper than a big lifted big tire'd awd JGC. How bout the fact that its one of the lightest in the lineup? (short of a stripper laredo). And that the v6, when kicked in the ass by RIPP is gonna pull 330-400 at the wheels. Can you imagine I take this on one of my weekend runs up in the mountains for some trail riding and light crawling and then a couple days later, its suddenly on SRT wheels, fat lo-profile rubber, and the 4" lift is now...not. Just sit and think on that awhile. lol.

Youve sure got some pricey parts on there.....
Yes, I do. And all the pricey parts certainly do have less pricey alternatives available to some degree. Again, my build and my choices. The parts on here are exceptional. The build quality on each and every part thats made this final list has proven its worth to me.

Whats Next?....
A lil break. this is stressful. Also, I CANT WAIT to get back out to doin some offroadin. Ive taken a voluntary break from it as to ensure I keep it Shiny Side up til the show. But dont fret, more parts, more innovation, more r&d and a better wk2project will continue to progress.

PLEASE...if you go to SEMA,
come check it out at booth #31171. Its in upper South Hall and is the very 1st booth right off the escalator. Cant be missed.

Thanks everyone. Feel free to ask anything.

POST SEMA build highlights....

This @wilco_offroad #hitchgate solo is an incredible piece! When running such a large spare this is the perfect solution. And it's solid as hell. No rattles, doesn't decrease angle when offroad and easily swings out for hatch access. Go see their full line of products!

#chiefproducts really came through. Here you see the final prototypes of their Hidden winch bumper and Fairlead, & lower bash guard. Also accompanied by their nudge bar, recovery hooks and full set of skid plates below. Check em out at www.chiefproducts.com.au

#nitto #ridgegrappler UNBELIEVABLE tire. So excited to run this in a meaty 305/55-20. Road noise is super low, good control in the corners, not harsh, even with this very high LT load rating. Thank you @nittotire for the incredible opportunity

Very exciting. I've gone back and forth on buying a laredo, an altitude and a limited. I have a different budget than you (which is why I might build up a stripped laredo)but wanted to thank you for sharing all of your hard work and supporting that the QT1 V6 is a great platform as is. You've done an awesome job and I look forward to following your continued progress.

Awesome spec sheet! But you are going to Sema... You need some fiber glass. Maybe giant wing or something. Could to a splitter?

I really like the look, but the nudge bar is so lame. One small bump near the top of that thing and it would fold right into your grille. Why not get something custom built that comes either through the bumper or maybe the fog light holes and legit mounts up to strong points on the unibody frame. Or get a behind the bumper winch and integrate the mount into a bumper cage type thing? I'd say to have a true offroader, you at least need a front winch and some decent front end protection from rocks/trees/animals/texters on the road.

Let me know if you want to try to work in a 2016 shifter - if anyone could do it, you might have the resources & connections to make it happen

ZAutotech Tazer (if you order, mention wk2project for 10% off)

Again, thanks for doing this. I went ahead and ordered based off the instructions above. How exactly does the 10% get reimbursed?

Can't wait to get my hands on the tazer!

If I wanted a full bumper or crazy protection at that height, I certainly would. However, I dont want to ruin the asthetics like that (I like the nudge bar)...but read below on my comments of integrity.

Hows that......

this is considered a Nudge bar, not Bull bar by definition. Bull bars notoriously take away a significant amount of approach angle, which this does not. I have been lucky enough to not run in to any Moose with it yet, so I cant speak to its integrity with real life information. However, as with all of the Chief Products ( I cants tress this enough that they are all made by an actual Engineer ) are all built with useful purpose in mind. In a situation where you are gonna bash your front end up badly, it will play out the same. This will protect you in parking lots, accidental hitting of things lightly, physically pushing another vehicle -nudge, and things of that sort. It will also keep you from damaging bumper and grill in low speed hits where youd otherwise end up with a hefty bill. By no means is this thing going to fold in on itself easily.

Furthering my comment on how these items are "engineered" you really have to see & feel them and study them. Yes, Chief in most cases may seem expensive. But the very 1st time you put your hands on their parts you will understand that you just spent money wisely. As we're installing the front bash plate, my former mechanical drawing/architecture student inside me just started staring at the angles, welds, placements, bolts, etc. This wasnt just a hacked together setup. This was done by a very bright Engineer, and its tested by engineers for crush strength, integrity, and so on. Everything makes sense if you can really break it down in your head on that level. I was impressed before, but today with the winch bumper, and the bash guard....I was blown away.
