I have the stock Michelins on my '14. Blech. I slid around on 95 and 495 on Thursday, then wound up in a snowbank when some douchenozzle tried to play, cut me off and then wound up spinning out passing me on a ramp. It was either t-bone him as he was bouncing around or go into the snow, I wound up in the snow bank. Took me a bit to get back out of it, I buried it pretty good. I think I'm going to trash the tires and either go for the Firestone Destination AT or at the very least a set of Michelin LTX M/S 2's...

Re: Serious Snow Finally!

Had no problems since I have Blizzaks. Thought it would be fun to take the back way home in 10+ inches of snow after helping a friend with lambing.
Came through the town of Clifton and had no problems getting through 13+ inches of snow. Out in Northern Fauquier they had 18" plus and the Blizzaks outperformed my friend and his Chevy 2500 pickup w/4wd and BFG ATs and the farm owner's Ford F250 with 4wd and BFG M/T's We were driving through her fields to get to the ewes. My friends each had 8 or so square hay bales in the back. I just had two collies. Both got stuck a few times in the fields but were able to power out. In the fresh snow on Thurs I had no problems and just kept it in the snow mode. Didnt need low. Later in day Fri and Sat when things began to melt when the snow mixed with mud who knows since I was home in front of a warm fire enjoying a Highland single malt.
My oldest collie is better around lambing ewes its that Lassie thing so she was out working for about 14 hours. She knows how to throttle down her prey drive. My young boy stayed in the GC except for some fun time in the deep snow playing with the other dogs when we were done. Ewes like to lamb when a storm is overhead. Barometric pressure drop.

Re: Serious Snow Finally!

Got 4" of snow 2 nights ago, and 6" more this morning. I was zipping around with no problems, weaving in and out between the cars that were stuck. Love the 2014 JGC.

Eventually yeah but that's all frozen right now. Got some snow today but by the time I got off work the plows had cleared most away. I'll get to play some time.

All our snow is melting on the front range side of the rockies this week.

Hopefully it will take a bit of time, so I don't have to take another 41 mile detour to
go less than 3 miles because all the bridges are gone.

Very nice; and a great piece of history too! Dave PS: Well worth visiting during warmer months.

Re: Serious Snow Finally!

Got 10" of snow the other day. Drove around with no problems. The snow was deeper than the bottom of the Jeep. I noticed when I backed in the driveway that I was essentially plowing the snow with the underside of the Jeep.
