Just buy the lifetime warrenty and call it a day with the v6. Cheaper than the hemi option, I just ordered my v6 2015 Altitude.

Thanks. That is a good option and I'll consider it.

Leave it to Chrysler to screw up the perfectly good German ZF transmission...

Obviously Chrysler has no clue how to fix the V6 transmission issues many are STILL having since this has been going on for over a year now with the 2014s, and they STILL can't get it right...even after multiple TSB reflashes.

To be honest, this is kind of why I went with the V8 option. Not that I don't trust Chrysler and their in house built transmissions (have an 05 Ram with the original tranny and 150,000 miles), but when presented with the options to get their transmission or one from the designer I opted for the Germans.

let's wait and see...I have an 06/14 build on my 14' so far no issues, but still very early in the game.(only 800 miles) also with the 15' slowly rolling out it will be interesting to see if any of them complain.

I wouldn't hesitate for a second. First, remember that the magnitude of any mechanical problems is exaggerated about ten times, just by virtue of the nature of on-line forums. To the extent that any issues have been seen, they've largely been fixed by software updates.

What good does a warranty do when Jeep can't "replicate the problem" or refers to the problem "normal operation"? Jeep's product lineup is great but their build quality and dealership mechanics are deplorable.

No problems here but perhaps it's time for an outside diagnosis at an independent shop.

Tell that to my hard downshifting transmission with no TSB yet for the later builds.

Have you tried the 45 minute battery pull / reset?

Just keep track as you read the various complaints. In some cases you will be reading about the same complaint, from the same person, about the same vehicle, over and over again. After a while a few problematic Jeeps starts to sound like an epidemic.

I would guess that even the transmission that is being built by Chrysler has a lot of help from ZF in trying to resolve any problems that do exist.
