Nice, photo 3 of 6 "scares" me a bit. I can just about "feel" those branches creeping closer and closer to the sides, scratching it to hell . . . ugh ! Everything else looks cool and just about my speed so far, but we shall see what the Washington, Montana, and Colorado backroads bring soon enough. Yea I intend to provide photos for ALL to get excited about too ! Maybe they'll provide some motivation . . . I know seeing some of "You Guys" stuff has got me motivated ! Thanks too ALL . . . Keep'em coming, and don't forget this Thread is ALSO about the Camping so if you got any tent / campfire / fish on the grill / sun sets, sunrises by your favorite lake or river . . . . . . . .

What trail was this? It looks like if you would've stayed further to the right, you wouldn't have bottomed out (or come close)

I've done quite a few 3+ trails in CO (traildamage.com) in my 2012 Altitude, with the only "mod" being Nitto Terra Grapplers (still on my 20" wheels)

A bit late, but I was wondering about the hitch & ball ! Were you towing a camper or . . . ? got pics ?

FurBucket, call me lazy, not referring to a map but is this in California or perhaps Arizona?
That Trail with the steep ledge can stir up a few stomach acid swells ! Was that section "paved" ? The "cobble stone" look could lend itself to unexpected "slippage," ugh !
I Have the same "problem," for Me, with no family and far to few friends that share in my fly fishing or traveling excitement, taking photos or video of "me" is difficult. I am thinking of getting the 'SOLOSHOT 3' Video Cam system (the 3rd gen. coming late this Summer) . A bit pricy, but it looks like you DO get what you pay for ! Thanks for posting. I see "Trail Rated" like mine.

Definitely all CA, but Bridgeport is very close to the border. Steep section was Laurel Lakes Road - all just loose rocky scree, no pavement in sight!

Obviously (?) not a day trip, with the truck camper ahead of you . Any evening scenery shots at the camp site ? No hookups? Just kidding on the last .

Re: Show & tell - wk2 photos off roading "proof"

I visited an off-road park this weekend with a local Jeep group. Some spots were pretty precarious, but I made it through with no dents, but some scratches from branches. Hopefully most will buff out. Whenever I do these events the JK guys always look at me and my Jeep like we're from another planet. Yes, its a WK2, and yes I like to get it dirty

INTERESTING ! What are those "cubes" on each side of the hood/windshield, LED spot lights ?
I see the "fun" of doing such a trip (off road park), but for Me, I need a destination . . . a place I am going to find at the end of a trail - such as a great minimalist camp site or side of a Forest Service Logging-Road turn off next to a favorite River to fish !

We towed a 4x8 UHaul cargo trailer to carry all of our camping gear and to store our food when we were away from camp.
