She's a "poser," oh, and so is the Jeep ! SO, what's the rest of the "story"?
What's the GF looking at / for? My guess . . . where's that confounded river?
So, where IS the river? No photo of the "flow" with the Jeep in the foreground, and as some would imply . . . no pic., didn't happen ! Was it a day trip, overnight camper or ? ?

Where at "up north" ?

I'm from MI, and I always wondered if there were a lot of 4x4 areas to head p to. My family has a cabin near the very top of the Upper Peninsula, and there are tons of ORV trails but I'm not sure if most of them are wide enough for a WK2.

Re: Show & tell - wk2 photos off roading "proof"

@billscarnage - Haha, thanks! I sure am lucky!

@flyfinaticlou - She was looking for deers, hopefully not bears! The water was a lake, Higgins Lake to be exact. Water is beautiful! Haha, I have had bad luck with water crossings in the past, so I am a little gun shy.

@Turbospartan - GO GREEN! This was up at Higgins Lake. In a couple weeks we are heading up to Pictured Rocks and some of the waterfalls in the UP. I am going to check out the Coalwood Trail and the Haywire Trail up there as I am told they are passable and fun.

More pictures to come after that trip for sure!

I guess they look at us WK2 users the same way we look at Ford Explorer users trying to do off-roading lol

I've done quite a few 3+ trails in CO (traildamage.com) in my 2012 Altitude, with the only "mod" being Nitto Terra Grapplers (still on my 20" wheels)

I forget the trail name, but it was just just outside of Salida. There are quite a few down there. Which ones in CO have you ran?

You can't see from that photo, but there was a huge rock that prevented me from veering right. Nevertheless, I'm not experienced so that had a lot to do with it as well.

I've done a few, based on Traildamage.com.

TrailDamage.com - Saints John

I've done: Saints John, Russell Gulch, Chinns Lake, Loch Lomond, Crystal Lakes (Breck), Shrine Pass, Mill Creek Road (Vail), Last Dollar Road (Telluride), and maybe a couple more. Most are around 3/4 on the difficulty level.

Go White!

Is there a 4x4 website you use, for MI trails?

What is your wk2 setup? Altitude with new tires?

OH GOOD ! I'm sorry to say that in all the years (about 7 in 10yrs) that I had been tripping to MI to fly fish (mostly around a 50 mile radius from Baldwin - the Pere Marquette River) I never went to the UP ! SO the More the Merrier for the "UP Picture-Show" ! Any paddling shots on the Lake ?

Re: Show & tell - wk2 photos off roading "proof"

I went back to Hollister Hills last week with my nephew, he's 11. He took this 35-second video of a dirt/rock climb. You can hear him laugh as I bounced near a rock. I should get rock sliders, I came pretty close to that rock. The JGC was at ORA-I ride height, so not at the highest.

He had fun. I had fun too!
