WhO2, it is calling you! I did Big Bend (or, BBNP) last March, it was only 1 quick day, driving through. It is a place of stark beauty. I look forward to returning and spending more time, at Santa Elena Canyon and Boquillas Canyon. And ggowins, thanks again for sharing your BBNP pictures.

Was up in the Pictured Rocks area in the UP of Michigan this past weekend with the girlfriend! Got to hike some amazing trails as well as take the WK2 on some! Enjoy!

Re: Show & tell - wk2 photos off roading "proof"

Not the best "off road" pics, but the wife and I went camping this weekend. Took quite a bit of maneuvering to get the Jeep down into the flat spot, next to that tiny little tree (no scratches though). Wish I would've gotten a better photo of the "drop" to get down into that flat spot. or a video of me getting out of it. It was probably 5-8FT height difference from where the Jeep is in these pics, versus the top of the hill where the road is.

Good pics, especially this one - we like taking our JGC down some trail to see what lies ahead, and then you come upon a beautiful vista or wide open view, or lake like what you have here. Nice!

Go Green!

This is a trail out here in Colorado, called "Saints John".

TrailDamage.com - Saints John

We had originally planned to go further West towards Vail, but traffic on i70 caused us to re-think plans. We actually hopped off of the highway and started heading towards Winterpark area, but then realized they had fire restrictions in place and we didn't want to camp without a fire. So we scrambled back to the highway and rushed to this spot as fast as we could, to try to get setup before dark.

When I dropped down into that flat spot, I was only on the front left and rear right tires... the front right and rear left were teetering until I got further down. Then I had to make a ~75-point turn to wiggle into that spot, around that small pine tree. I put it in 4-LO when going down the hill, to make sure I could get back out.

LEAVE it to you to not forget the "money shot" at the end! Big Tease you two are ! Thanks for the posts, keep your "adventures" coming, as they sure do "inspire"!
I may be "older" but the old "boiler" still has some "steam" to get the wheels turning! ps; still waiting to see "you's" (that's Italian for the 2 of you !) snugged up by a campfire. You know me, it's all about the destination!

"FAN-TAS-TIK" - the French pronunciation, sorry ItalianJeeper, (if your "listening") but I do not know the Italian work for "fantastic"! Any fly fishing to be had further down stream ? WHERE ARE YOU ?
FINALLY, a camp site . . . with a "cool" blazing fire at dusk !
More please . . .

YES, I think we all are curious as to which Lake - Superior, Michigan or Huron ? Did you drive North on I-75 or the long way via Wisconsin ?

That's funny, cause the "clowns" at TFL Car just did a Video on That Very Trail on up to the Old Mines - way up there at nearly 12,000 feet ! Thin air, did it affect the Tire Pressure much ?

Re: Show & tell - wk2 photos off roading "proof"

SO, TurboSpartan, you are from Colorado or Overlanded for some Adventuring ? I am in the early planning stages of a BIG Overlanding Trip to ALL OVER COLORADO - from the RMNP to DURANGO and all the best "out of the way Fly Fishing places I can find with my 75th Trail-Rated G.C. ! The Apt. lease ends the end of April '17 and after putting the "goods" in Temp Control Storage, I head out "Overlanding" wherever the "less-travelled" backroads take me ! That is in the direction of Colorado from Washington State ! I don't plan on returning till perhaps October! In the back of my mind is a possible move out of WA., but the journey is all about getting OUT and enjoying Nature - fly fishing my ass off and birding, camping during the week and Motel-ing it on weekends. To get the past weeks grime off me, and the G.C. !
When the time comes I may pursue some of the other websites to offer-up a "lets-get-together" for a few days . . . !
