I have no tent pics, as we actually sleep in the Jeep. I bought an air mattress that fits perfectly into the back of the Jeep when the seats are folded down.

Here is my buddy (Olivia):

I should have some pics after this weekend. We are going camping again, but for a long weekend (instead of just overnight). Not sure where yet. Trying to decide between Telluride (long drive, ~7 hours), Aspen (~3.5 hours) or Crested Butte (~4.5 hours).
No, I mean Yea . . . oh heck so confusing . . . yes, the "original pics came out fine! Olivia . . . sexy name! Your "brown-eyed" girl ?!
Can"t wait for next week then . . . !

Some pics from our camping trip up in Crested Butte. We dispersed camped off of Paradise Divide. We actually made a late night 4x4 run up to Emerald Lake, in the pitch black, so we could see the Perseid Meteor Shower (which was great). We then took the same trail in the daylight the next day, to realize how high of a ridge we were on but had no clue (in the dark).

Start of the incline:

Little trail off of the pass, to get to campsite:

The campsite:

View from my tent:

Part of the trail (that we did in the dark, as well):

View of Paradise Basin/Valley (you can see the 4x4 trail):

Here is Emerald Lake:

Hey Turbo, sorry I'm late to "this showing," but had an unexpected overnight for a tiny "thing" sniped out of the ole' bladder. NICE, very Inspiring indeed . . . I love just about every "scenic watery (fishy)" Colorado spot ! Keep'em coming. Getting the G.C. "in the shot" like the one pic. keeps it "real," but the pic. from the tent(?) Awesome !
I am confused about the mention of Emerald Lake & Crested Butte in the same post !?
The Lake sounded familiar (from my early research for my overloading trip), but IT is on page 77 of my Gazetteer, while the Town & its Namesake are on page 58 !? The Lake I found has Cutthroat & Rainbow - which is why I made note (to myself). Are you doing any fishing or fly fishing on your adventures ?
Any pictures of the Perseid shower ? Campfire glowing on the G.C.? You know me, I'm a sucker for those "memory shots!".

There are multiple "Emerald Lakes" in Colorado. This one was in Crested Butte, off of Paradise Divide.

We tried fishing the lake a little, but not fly fishing. Just regular spinning reel, typically the the play-doh "Power Bait". Tons of trout in there, and you could see them swimming because the water was so clear... but most were small, and none seemed interested in what we were throwing out there.

I don't have any meteorite pics, as my cell phone can't handle that. Nephew took some on his Sony A7, but I can't find them online.

Didn't take any campfire photos either, but did take this one of the pup:

Me, too. The Facebook photos were awesome.

I can just see me half asleep and driving off with the wife inside the tent. I'm no good without coffee.
