Smelly trouble in WK2 land

So while doing a good deed and driving a drunk friend home, she decided to roll down the window (rear passenger side), and throw up all the lobster ravioli she had earlier. Most of it went on the outside of the door (nothing a good car wash couldn't fix), but some of it got inside the window. So I spent the morning removing the interior door panel, and cleaning as much of it as possible.

However, some of it is on the outside part of the glass, and it looks like i need to remove the chrome trim that sits right below the window. Any suggestions on how to do that? I did remove the two screws at each end, but it still doesn't come out.

Thanks!

The Jeep cargo mat would be perfect for that. Just have the lush exit the cargo area, take out the mat and hose it down. Simple.

Ok, back on topic. Can't you lightly hose down the area behind the window without getting much water on the door internals?

Re: Smelly trouble in WK2 land

Reminds me of when my wife (girlfriend at the time) threw up in my Acura TL-S. She was smart about it and did it all on the all-weather mat. Nothing anywhere else in the car and it was a super easy cleanup...Thanks babe lol

I already removed the door panel and cleaned behind it, but I now have to get on the other side of the glass, and I have no idea how to do that.

Re: Smelly trouble in WK2 land

There is one screw on the inner side of the door to the front closest the front door. That holds the silver trim, then you have clips along it which pop out.

So are you going to charge your friend for the time it took to clean out the JGC?

Next time?

If I had a friend puke all over my car, he or she would be banned from it...
