I've noticed on kbb.com...the value of my trade has gone down approx $1,000 from a couple weeks ago. Makes sense 2011 model with the 14's just coming out

Just traded in mine for $35,500 when ordering the new '14. Fair price considering it had minor rear end damage on the vehicle history report. 2012 Overland 4x4 - 14k miles with no additional options if any are interested in what you might get. Got the new '14 with 1% under invoice as well. No ground breaking deal here, but I was happy with it.

Sounds like a fair deal to me. People online (not just in this forum) often talk about how much under invoice they got on the new vehicle but don't mention that they also got bent over on the trade, or on the interest rate, or on the finance office add-ons, etc. Sounds like you did well. Which engine did you pick this time?

Went with the V6 again, wanted the diesel but just couldn't bring myself to pony up the coin to get it. I'm more than happy with what I have now and the 8 speed should make it all the better. I only tow 1k lbs and work from home, so the V6 fits the bill just right.

Why did Jeep release the 2014 so early in 2013? I know new cars come out in sept/oct usually. I got my 2013 in October and they were still trying to get ride of some 2012 and I think that is normal, but February of the prior year??

....cuz they are using the Mayan Calendar and needed to get the new model out before the end of the world since we'll need the 2013 WK2 for when that happens.

I got an awesome deal on a 2013 last night. The dealer had more than 40 2013's on the lot, I traded in my 2011 Patriot with 25,000 miles, and it was nearing the end of the month. With all of that, the sales manager really worked to make a deal. I got exactly what I wanted, and at 4% below invoice. I also negotiated an additional $1,500 on the Patriot trade-in. YMMV. I know some of you may have wanted more off invoice, I was satisfied with the deal and I got out of a lease early because of it (otherwise I would have incurred overage and possible damage fees).

A top of the line fully loaded 11-13 will always be worth more than an entry level or mid range 14!
