Good news. I got my JGC back today. BAd news, I'll be dropping it back off at the shop on the 10th for additional work. I went over their working and not happy with it.
First thing is, I told them to NOT wash my vehicle. Well, when I showed up, it was getting out of "detailing". FFFUUUU
2nd, lack of communication. They never called me once to tell me my vehicle was taking longer or when ETAs were changed. They are suppose to call 24-48 hours when it's suppose to by ready for pickup. I've always had to initiate the 2 calls.
Anyways, so they drop off my vehicle up front and I'm going over it. First thing I notice is the light swirl marks in the sun.... **** me.
2nd, I still see compound or wax or whatever it is that's still on the car. So after their "detail", all this residue made it look like damage or scratched on the car. Fortunately, I had a microfiber rag on hand. Used a little bit of water and rag to make sure they were scratches. Cleans up well.
3, I see a cloudy area along the fender edge.
4, there was a dimple at a random spot long the rear quarter.
5, I'm missing the 2 screws holding the bumper that's hidden by the liftgate.
6, my wheel fender's edge looks all chewed up. I think this was either damaged during the accident and got missed. Or it got damaged during reinstall of bumper.
7, my taillight has a chip it in. It was indicated during initial inspection for a replacement, but looks like they forgot it.
8, my most left backup sensor seems to be out of it's location and looks funny.
I will need to wash it and see how bad the damage is this weekend. Fortunately, the front 1/3 of my vehicle is protected with XPEL, so I know that area will be good.
Other than that, the paint looks really good and near perfect match. They are going to replace the rear bolts holding the bumper.
What I need from you guys is, is it color matched to your vehicle or just a standard black bolt?
Also, does your latch on your liftgate look like this with 3 screws? Looks funny to me.
