Wow, that's definitely wrong. Now I will go look at other people's pic threads to compare...

Re: Something fishy with my jeep.

wouldn't know why the overland would be different than the Laredo. I have them on both sides and say GC.

Re: Something fishy with my jeep.

i have them on both sides. driver side reads from left to right, or, from the front of the jeep to the back of the jeep, "Grand Cherokee"

passenger side reads the same, but from right to left, or from the back of the jeep to the front of the jeep.

Is that normal?

Re: Something fishy with my jeep.

Unless the chrome moldings were stolen or fell off while in transit (I doubt it), your Jeep was definitely repaired. Whether it was in an accident or not you really can't tell from pictures alone but I surely hope you find out what happened. When did you pick it up? How can the dealership not notice this? I'm assumming you did not look over the Jeep before driving away from the dealership. Or you did and the chrome moldings were their? If you find out that it was in an accident and they sold it to you that way without disclosing this information to you, I would think you would not have a problem demanding a new Jeep. Good luck man, I hope you get to the bottom of it. Let us know what you find out.

If you're saying that the passenger side reads from right to left it would look like this:
Cherokee Grand

Is that what you're saying? If so, that's obviously backwards.

I just went outside to the driveway to check mine. Both sides read left to right (standard English ) Grand Cherokee

Re: Something fishy with my jeep.

I went to a reputable body shop where they took a look and used some device that measures paint thickness. They told me everything looked original and found no 3M tape residue. As unlikely as it seems, the guy there thinks they forgot to put it on at the factory.
