I've had my jeep for about 2 weeks now and I can't find a good spot to keep my loose change. I had it in the upper part of the center console storage but when you lift the arm rest up to access the bigger lower storage section all the change falls back and out. Cup holders are for my coffee.
Is there a change holder somewhere I haven't found yet?
I use the round ashtray and place it in the the round water bottle slot in the drivers door. You have to lift it out every time to you make a deposit or withdrawal. I think it's the best solution for something that clearly was not included in the blueprint!
I just keep a zip-loc bag in the car and put it in the center console and move it forward so it's sort of directly behind the select terrain dial. No rattling with it.

I think the drink holder in the door may be the ticket. I'll check out the small trough in the back of the center console for some quick small change access. I'm amazed that this feature was missed - this jeep has everything! (but a change holder)
I guess if I had the storage area where the Quadra Trac selector knob was located this would not be an issue - so only for some Jeeps...
My WK has slots for all the different coins in the center console. It what I missed the most when I got my WK2. Actually it is the only this I miss, love my new GC.

I have to admit that my first thought when I started reading this thread was, "Change/coins? What's that?" I don't even carry those in my pocket anymore. That said, I can see that it would be useful for folks who do carry them to have a convenient and safely accessible place to do so.
I hear you but in Brooklyn NY if you want to park you need quarters for the meter.
That trough in the center console is PERFECT. Didn't realize that was for change. More than enough room to hold my parking meter change.
I just use of of these - nice small size, holds a ton of change, and doesn't open. I put it in the middle armrest storage but could also put it in the front middle console where that little access door is (where ash trays would have pulled out).
I live in an area with a lot of meters as well, and bought one of these little guys for about $2 from Container Store (if you don't have one locally, its a organizational type store, large chain, i'm sure you can order online). Holds about a $10 roll of quarters. Keeps things nice and organized.
