Speaker Size?

Does anyone know the speaker sizes for the WK2, I have the basic Media Center 130 RES.

Has component speakers in the front. Also wondering if the system has an amp somewhere. It has great deep bass and over all sounds pretty damn good for a factory system. Can imagine a speaker swap would make it very, very good and a bigger amp

No Kicker Jeep upgrade out yet, only for the 2010 version.

Would like to upgrade to Focal speakers....

Thanks for any help.

Re: Speaker Size?

Check out the wkejeeps.con stickey for system details. It's all alpine, which is tremendous as stock. 6x9 front doors, 6 1/2 rear doors, 8 subwoof, total 508 watts amp.

Re: Speaker Size?

I'll check it out.

I don't think mine has a sub though. If it does I cannot find where it is hiding.

Re: Speaker Size?

I think the sub module comes with the next package up from your "basic" headunit.

Re: Speaker Size?

Yes, I believe that is correct.

I have the 6 speaker system.

Wonder if the Amp can be upgraded??

Re: Speaker Size?

The higher end headunits have surround sound, so that amp would be necessary for the format to play. You'd be better off just upgrading to an aftermarket 4 or 5 channel amp.

Re: Speaker Size?

Sounds like a better plan.

Thanks
