Sport mode!!!

So, I just tried sport mode for the first time in my Overland HEMI....whoa....to my surprise, it lowers to aerodynamic ride height...pretty cool! Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the engine growls in sport mode!!! Another thing I noticed, ECO mode stayed enabled...so fuel economy shouldn't be that bad in sport mode. So my question: Are there in downsides to staying in sport mode?

Re: Sport mode!!!

Sport mode is actually more economical than auto, I dont drive anywhere without it, the car sits lower, the shifts are more positive.

How did you come to that conclusion? Doesn't sport mode hold the gears longer and increases the rpm's per gear making the vehicle burn more fuel?

Re: Sport mode!!!

I think the ride is stiffer in sport mode. I don't like it.

I know on my 14, ECO mode turns off when shifting into Sport. Maybe this is handled differently in the 11-13 models?

Re: Sport mode!!!

Eco mode turns off in my 2014 Summit 4x4 V8 when in sport mode. Always has. Fun to drive in sport mode on occasion.

It is different. ECO mode works just fine in Sport Mode in 2011, 2012, and 2013s.

Re: Sport mode!!!

I have not noticed a MPG savings in Sport mode. I have used it around town but, on the freeway I like the ride quality better in Auto.
