Srt Conversion!

Hello all I finally bit the bullet and purchased all my Srt/Summit parts for my 2014 Overland. Now I will have the vehicle that I couldn't order last year. Pics soon to follow, all I can say is its pricey I was expecting to pay $4500 for the conversion but looks like it's gonna be around $5000 for just parts and $2000 for paint and installation. Here's what I'm installing front Srt Bumper Kit, rear summit bumper cover bought off eBay for $300 with a small scratch, summit mufflers and tips with brackets, srt rockers and flares and srt hood with all hardware, 1 srt daytime running light Left side off eBay for $100 and right side daytime running light had to buy new.

I'm hoping the harness is there for the srt daytime running lights and I can control them from the radio settings if not I will have the shop hard wire them. Sorry for quick right up and I will post pics of the invoice for part numbers and before and after pics within a few days as my parts are at the dealer.

Interesting,

What do you have and how much of a price difference for an SRT compared to yours new.

Re: Srt Conversion!

A fake SRT8 without the 392?
Why not have a bonfire with a few stacks of $100 bills instead?

Re: Srt Conversion!

What I thought was weird I saw in Perth, Australia - A mint looking SRT 8 with the rego 'Jeep 4x4'. Made me think for a moment, that ain't no 4x4, if anything it is an AWD!

Srt Conversion!

Well first off If I wanted a srt I would have bought one, money is not a issue but I hate the interior of the srt. Indigo blue is what I wanted and it's not offered in summit nor the srt. My truck priced out at 51k after employee discount and down payment I financed about 38k and I owe 28k as of last month. I considered getting a srt but there's no way I'm paying that much money for a truck and I hate the interior If it had blue and tan I would own one but I'm not trying to pretend its a srt by no means I'm just customizing it to my liking.

Yea I looked for a bit but got tired of calling around plus we're working 7days, so not much time left in my day. My brother works for Chrysler so that's 25% off mopar parts. Actually I got all the parts heading to my painter now, should be done this Monday or Tuesday.

Evolv0 is just really nice
Re: Srt Conversion!

I also put a lot of the SRT8 stuff on my overland, I put the brakes, wheels, swaybar and hood.. I didn't do it because I couldn't get an SRT8, I did this because I like the body styling of the overland the best out of all the models, and I wanted to keep the 4x4 abilities/QL2/QD2/towpackage ... the SRT doesn't have this stuff and I like I said before, personally I don't like the summit or SRT nose and rear.
