You'd have to ask Jeep and customers why they want carbon fiber. People complain if they would put plastic there. What would you put in place of carbon fiber?

I agree, and it doesn't sound like people will not buy it because of most of these complaints. I know I for one have NEVER purchased the perfect car, even my Porsche's get tweaks here and there

I know and actually I agree

LED's primary advantages are quality of light, low power consumption, low heat, long life, and for some people - aesthetics.
YMMV.
I guess, since I can't remember the last time I kept a car long enough for an incandescent light to blow I'm not thinking the longevity is a big deal

I understand the desire for LED's, I've used them many times and love them but honestly, wondering whether the tail lights were LED never entered my mind until it became such a hot topic here. I guess I have different priorities....... For example, I wish it had a version of QL that instead of the primary function being to raise the SRT it would be to lower it for high speed and track duty like the Cayenne.

^The QL lowering alternative is a cool idea, plus you could still eke out some light trail or deeper snow with the higher setting. A lot of guys may just lower these on the springs as it is.

Carbon fiber is ugly, Tacky, redneck and very 1999. Why not just standardize a get-r-done sticker on the rear window. It reminds me of those honda civics with turbo pipes and the rediculous tail fins on stiltz. I really hope Chrystler doesn't start putting the ground effect LED lighting under the car. Lets keep the WK2 "grand".

I'm partial to the toasted Bamboo structural laminate, like what you'll see in the Aston-Martin's. Now THAT would have been a statement!

Yeah, I was really hoping for a "Quadra-Drop" mode, particularly with the Track setting for improved handling - and as Moose says above, you would still have more abilities than a permanent drop. Opportunity missed, IMO.

Warning - Rant below!!

...and as far as the Carbon Fiber vs. Wood thing:
Everyone has different opinions and tastes, and we are not all going to agree on the same things but it makes life interesting.
What someone likes is not a redneck/rice/young/old/whatever thing - it is just what they like. You disagree - leave it at that.
Buy what you like, like what you buy. ...but please stop bitching about what someone else likes that you don't.
Thank you.

Rant over - please continue about your business...

Maybe Jeep will see their way (as this seems to touch such a nerve with many people) to offer an alternative, such as the Black Olive wood from the Summit edition - it would match the interior color, and IMO, look badass.

That's my plan, if this thing is still available by the time I can afford it
