Well I have an appointment this weekend, will test drive and play with a 2014 GMC sierra denali, no blind spot or adaptive cruise control, also you have to use a key to start it, but I think I can get use to it . We will see what happens!

LOL!
Kinda like Microsoft Vista users were Beta testers for Windows 7?

Seriously, though.
The only first model year car I've ever bought was my 2010 Subaru Legacy 3.6R. Had some issues with the transmission programming, but some bitching to SOA and I had a regional rep at the dealership waiting for me with a 'beta' flash for the tranny that fixed the problem and was subsequently released to all dealers shortly thereafter.

I would buy another Subaru in a heartbeat, but their large SUV is one ugly duck, especially compared to the GC!

Well, went to the GMC dealer Saturday morning, armed with dealer pricing, trade in value ect. Jeep ran perfect, gps was fine everything was great.

Got in and played with the Sierra, Myilnk or whatever they call it (ours is Uconnect) had terriable lag, you push the softkey and wait for a responce, the GPS couldn`t find a Walmart, and I couldn`t find a way to type in a POI. I know there is a learning curve but still.

Driving the truck, well I know my Jeep goes better, the truck has a v8 5.3 but should get up and go.

Bottom line, the Jeep had no issues going there or leaving, hope it stays this way because it`s a nice car, still have to get the recall done yet, maybe its here to stay for a while

Re: Starting to get fed up!

I've bought a number of first year models as soon as they hit the showroom. Never had a regret, not saying I never had a problem. The "bleeding edge" is a fun place to be, but you have to have a certain risk tolerance. I've been having a great experience with my GC. I know others haven't. We live and we learn. Some people just aren't cut out for "beta testing" the latest and the greatest. Like I said, we live and we learn.

"Beta Testing" is one thing, just having the system work correctly (or work at all) is something totally different.

Things should at least be in working order before they are relesed to the public.

Isn't that where we go after we die?

I might not make there ... but the rest of you could.

Some people are more receptive to shit than others evidently.

...and having a transmission that shifts correctly is too much to ask I guess.
