Still like my Overland

Purchased my 2014 JGC on December 31 2014 from the DC group buy. My first new car ever. I bought the V6. I have no plans on towing so didn't feel the need for the hemi. I wish it sounded more aggressive and I guess adding an exhaust might help with that. And a light bar at some point, maybe different rims. I just don't see the reason to put much money into it.

It's really nice just the way it is. Except for the Bluetooth that sucks.

Re: Still like my Overland

Bluetooth works perfectly fine here. Both on 2014 and 2015.

Someone a while back added a K&N intake of some sort and added quite the aggressive sound. So much so he later took it off.

Aggressive sounding is fine if you can turn it off. Full time gets old real quick. Last time I modded an engine for sound was a 74 dodge duster

I did the same thing. put all the mods on then couldn't stand it after a month and put it back to stock.

Late built 2014 Summit...Bluetooth works flawlessly as does voice recognition and stuff. I went with the V8 and believe it or not one big reason is sound. I don't tow or off-road ever, I just wanted the power and sound :-)

Re: Still like my Overland

I agree with the sound of the hemi. Very nice but I don't know call me crazy but I feel the Durango hemi is a bit louder.

I will say that over time I have noticed my idle note rumble a bit more than when I first picked her up. Anyone else notice that?

Re: Still like my Overland

Durangos are in fact louder. You're not crazy. The two don't share an exhaust assembly... not even catalytic converters.

Re: Still like my Overland

Ahh, i wish the jeep hemi sounded like the durango stock. Overall the jeep sounds great and i'll eventually get an aftermarket exhaust set up. I want loud but currently have a toddler and another on the way so, so much for loud right now. Lol.

Re: Still like my Overland

I wish the GC Hemi sounded like the R/T Durango!!! I was disappointed with the lack of grrrr/grunt that the Hemi had in our GC.

Yup that's exactly what i meant, the RT durango. Its all good though, once i install an aftermarket exhaust it'll sound much throaty'er than the RT.

Explain why the bluetooth sucks? I love it in mine. Stream music and use it for calls daily no issues.

Same. I have a 2013 and every once in a while it freezes or dies but that is a relatively rare event.

Everyone on the other end of the call says it sounds very muffled and hard to understand.
