Stockton beach NSW AUS

After a very wet night, the sun came out and it was time to try my first beach drive..
The family loved the experience and are looking forward to the next beach adventure..
For a novice 4x4 driver, the Jeep did the sand driving with ease..
Love my Jeep!

Don't know why the second pic is upside down, maybe it's because we are on the planet???

Re: Stockton beach NSW AUS

Nice one. Mine is 1 week old and my first "off road" adventure will be very similar. A gentle cruise along the beach!

Nice. I've been on Stockton a few times in other 4x4s but haven't taken the Jeep on there yet. Did you use low range at all or just stay in sand mode?

Odd, when you click on it to full size, it is right way up. Save it, it is right way up. Upload to imgur, it flips wrong way.
Whatever, fixed.

Nope Just on the HWY.. Due to the Tim baily Sunday forecast we only passed 3 other vehicles, yet the arvo was 8/8ths blue..
One small step for the Jeep, one giant leap for Mark.

What psi did you air down to? And did you bring compressor or just drive back to the United servo at Williamtown.

I've never got round to it for some reason ( scaredy cat maybe?)

Tyres.. Yep guilty... As we were only going on the Stockton HWY (Anna Bay end), I thought I'd give it a go at standard road pressure. We just followed the compressed sand tracks to the beach entrance and stayed on the firm stuff.
We only went down the beach a few hundred meters as there were only a few vehicles around but plenty of well used tracks..
Had we been going on a bigger beach trip I'd have started at about 20Psi..
If we ran into trouble, I could have dropped the pressures, used the recovery Trax in the back or last resort pulled out the recovery bag with the snatch recovery gear and waited for a little assistance. We also had a Thumper compressor with us, so if required I could have dropped the tyres a long way down and inflated a little after getting out..
