Re: Summit: Deep Auburn Pearl vs. Bright White Clear

I prefer white vehicles for myself. But, I think everyone needs a change once in awhile.

Over the past 10 years I've had white, red, white, white, maximum steel.

Next will probably be white.

I have a bright white and love it!

I do however like the Auburn as well. But like others have said, I think brown will be a factor later down the road when it's not trending anymore. Resale might suffer.

Re: Summit: Deep Auburn Pearl vs. Bright White Clear

I'm in the Auburn camp. Resale value and trendiness be damned. Our 2003 Saturn VUE is a burnt orange metallic. I was afraid when we bought it that the color wouldn't age well, and was too trendy. 11 years on, and I still like the color.

Hoping the Auburn (or Western Brown?) trickles down from the Summit to Limited as a color option for '15.

I vote white. It helps to tone the, in my opinion, too much chrome down. ..... white on the summit, dark colors on the overland.

Re: Summit: Deep Auburn Pearl vs. Bright White Clear

I have Auburn. As mentioned I'm also tired of everything black, white, and all manner of gray between. I do go through a lot of cars so I'm likely to sell this before the color becomes dated (or should I say dated again, I'm old and remember the last time it was "in") but even if I lose resale, don't care. Gotta have a break.

As to looks, in person the Auburn is outstanding with an unusual amount of copper and great presence that helps overcome the stupid quantities of chrome some idiot thinks people actually want. That would be in the daylight. At night its a different story, like most metallic paints it loses its luster. While this leaves a maroon looking dull red it leaves Auburn looking like it could have fell out of a giant dogs butt.

All in all I don't regret it. Its exceptional in the daylight, still nice under city lights and its not white, black, gray, silver... I am thankful every time I look at it for that. I'm er, underwhelmed at night but the change of pace counterbalances that for me. I was also considering red but in person I think the Auburn helps diminish the chrome a little more.

One good thing about white, if you couldn't get a good parking spot you can always hop into one of the white GCs parked closer. hehe

Re: Summit: Deep Auburn Pearl vs. Bright White Clear

I voted for auburn despite the fact that my next one will probably be white. It is a breathtaking color in the flesh. White will most likely have a higher resale value, but I don't care since I'm not buying a Summit.

Re: Summit: Deep Auburn Pearl vs. Bright White Clear

The Deep Auburn Pearl Coat sure is pretty and just dazzles in the South Florida sun........but leaning toward the Bright White Clear Coat.
