I love the chrome! I love not having Chrome too!

It looks slamming both ways. I prefer the chrome though

Re: Summit - too much chrome?

I have mixed feelings on the plastic chrome. I recently bought the summit in the rugged brown. I went with the off road package in order to lose the 20" wheels. I switched the grill to the limited style 3 days after taking delivery. I am starting to accept the remainder of the chrome (I think).

Why did you get the Summit then? Seems like you could have saved yourself some dough

The 18" wheels are polished like the 20" summit wheels and look chrome too.

Re: Summit - too much chrome?

And why would you go to the Limited style grill instead of going to the overland style grill?

I like the traditional vertical slats.

Yes they are polished, but more tire and less shine. I'm just not crazy about the low profile tires. I sold my 1997 Hummer (even trade) for the Summit and the hummer had zero chrome/silver and 37" tires on 16.5" wheels so it's somewhat of an adjustment for me.

Re: Summit - too much chrome?

I'm not a huge fan of my 18" polished trail rated wheels, they are too bling for me. Shiny wheels should be left on Caddys and Buicks. They should have made some gunmetal rims for the 18" trail wheels.

Re: Summit - too much chrome?

I saw a Land Rover and an older Jeep in monochrome champaign gold. The Land Rover looked horrible in that color. I didn't like the Jeep monochrome color (mirrors, grill, and other trim were the same colors). Maybe my chrome on the Summit isn't as bad as I thought. It breaks up the monotomy.
