Sunroof Glass UV Protection?

I would assume that the tinted glass used in the 2014 WK2 sunroof provides 100% UV protection. Because of a past issue with skin cancer, I have to be very careful with my exposure to sunlight and UV light. Can anybody confirm that the sunroof glass totally blocks UV light, just like almost all sunglasses do now?

Re: Sunroof Glass UV Protection?

Don't know, but I can confirm that closing the sunshade blocks 100% of all kinds of light.

I believe this to be true. Also the non-tinted portions are "safety tinted". They have some UV protection. Not sure of the ratio though?

There are products on the market for adding/increasing UV protection for sunroofs. If you prefer keeping it open, worth adding to be extra sure (in my opinion). For example, there is a product called "UV Shield" (just Internet search for it).
