OMG. Looks a lot like my WK2, especially inside, but mine came with a gear shift lever as standard equipment!

I don't particularly care for the sail panel treatment. Indeed the Jeep has much more masculine lines. My wife says the new Mercedes looks wimpy in comparison. Uh oh, Mercedes.

I would prefer ugly MB to pretty WK2, I don't care about truck look much anyway.

Re: Take a look at our Mercedes cousin!

Nice catch, Moose...the Lexi second cousin. The more I look at the Mercedes, sadly, the more I'm seeing Toyota Highlander in the front end.

Re: Take a look at our Mercedes cousin!

This admittedly may be a bit unfair, but here is another famous vehicle with that exaggerated slanted C pillar.

Re: Take a look at our Mercedes cousin!

WOW MB really knows how to keep screwing up cars. They use to make some of the most beautiful cars, now you have to cross the $100K mark to get anything that looks decent. What a fail!

Oh, no doubt whatsoever. There's a reason luxury brands don't do oil changes for $25. If you have a gorgeous showroom, a waiting area with snacks, and free loaners, all that costs real money, and it's reflected in the prices for service.*

* While the new vehicle is indeed more expensive (I'd be surprised if you could match the Overland's equipment level for less than $10K more), the overall margin probably isn't too much different. The real money comes in the service department. Bring money. LOTS of money.
