You are so right, Mashie. I had seen Mineral Gray in person, and the black Overland interior in person, but never in the same vehicle until yesterday. It is dripping with curb appeal. I like a dressy, understated, yet purposeful look in my vehicles. This color combo is the equivalent of a grey flannel suit paired with spitshined combat boots (or lug-soled wingtips) just itching to curb stomp some unruly driving surfaces.

Great adventure picking up your new Overland. Smooth trip both ways and great dealer experience...what a great way to spend the Holiday week. Enjoy the new GC

Thanks, Yuke. Your comment about creating a memory was spot on. My daughter and I spent the day laughing. She had fun telling the dealer staff how I may have gone a bit overboard in my research, and that I had even made friends with a bunch of guys "on some website for Jeep lovers." LOLOL!!!

Only a couple of minor regrets from the trip:

1. No snow to drive in...the Poconos (at least in the area of the dealership) only got a couple of inches, and the heavy winds literally blew it all away. Even in the surrounding wooded areas we only saw a thin layer. But that will be rectified this weekend when we head to a ski resort in the Shenandoahs.

2. When I got home, I had to move my trusty '04 WJ Limited to its new spot outside of our 3rd bay. I tried everything to make it fit in that indoor spot but the dimensions would require backing it in and blocking the steps to our mudroom. Plus I have no current alternative storage place for my snowblower, generator, and other equipment. I may spring for a car cover for the old girl.

Glad to hear you are happy with your selection my friend! I couldn't agree with you more, the Mineral Grey with Black combo just seems to fit very well together in a very classy, yet (don't mess with me) look and feel.

My wife and I were driving home from a friends house last night and out of the blue she commented on not just how amazing the car is but the color combination just seemed to go so well together. She said she was really glad I ended up with this color combo and didnt wait for the Dark Charcoal/Saddle (she had concerns that the saddle would be too brown for my liking).

Enjoy your new baby! If you are anything like me (and I get the feeiling we are alot alike) it will be the 2nd thing you check on in the morning after your kids 2 weeks later, after I get up and wake my daughter up, I go down to the garage and peek in on my WK2!
