Lankness, please PM me with the dealer info. Trying to find out if it is worth flying from Minnesota to Houston for a better deal

Re: Texas folks group buy?

Dear Lankness,

I would appreciate your dealer contact information as well.

I've been researching new vehicles for about 6 months now and the JGC seems to have everything I want. I've been to the Austin Dealers but haven't been impressed with the sales tactics.

Thanks in advance,

Gary

Re: Texas folks group buy?

Looks like I may be flying from Minnesota to Texas to get my Jeep. Great deal, and with the money saved, will be able to upgrade to the overland, and almost pay for the flight, and a short vacation during the road trip back. Thanks for the tip Lankness.

Re: Texas folks group buy?

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and have a quick question. I work for Chrysler and I'm looking to buy a '14 Durango r/t or citadel fully loaded. So can I negotiate a better deal than my employee discount or is the employee discount the highest amount I can get off? Or can I maybe get a little extra discount on top of my employee discount? Also, I'm willing to travel to get the best deal or should I just shop around the metro Detroit area? I'm a newbie so don't be too hard on me lol.

Re: Texas folks group buy?

People on the forums have reported anywhere from 2-7% below invoice. Depending on what the employee discount is, you can tell where it is. From there you will just have to decide it if is worth your time to find a better deal.

Making phone calls, sending emails - that is easy though. I'd recommend talking to the internet sales manager or fleet sales manager at any dealership though.

Hoping to finalize a 2014 Durango deal today with the famous Mark from Houston. Anybody able to work additional incentives or rebate into your deal? Just want to be as prepared as possible for my negotiations. Thanks.

Re: Texas folks group buy?

Larueljoke, I'm currently speaking with Mark as well to see what can be worked out.

So far been a pretty easy, though I guess he's kinda busy today.

And Larkin, thanks again for the contact information.

Spoke with Mark earlier today, and that was the easiest thing I've done in awhile. Now fingers tightly crossed that Durango order banks DO reopen tomorrow, and that Durango production starts 8/19 as anticipated.
