The obvious thread

Spring is here and snow melted at low elevations. That's obvious.
April showers bring may flowers. That's obvious.
Search function works well. That's obvious.

The"Angry Man Stuck in Snow" video is just the perfect advertisement for the traction device featured in "Track N Go on Jeep wrangler and Grand Cherokee". That's obvious.

Great to see that there were no billowing clouds of smoke coming from under the Jeep, the transmission never gave up and the wheels never quit spinning...

Rgds.
We need a dedicated WK2 off-road and off-road fails forum. That's not so obvious. People would know where to look for these videos. I will be the first to post my mall crawl where I had to park with two wheels on the curb. It was a big shiny curb, I used Low Range and Quadra-Lift setting Off Road II just to make it up the 2 inch curb.

In all seriousness, I know there is a dedicated site wide forum but I caught the ire of a guy for telling him to search and to look in there. I have changed my mind since, to the obvious: we need our own WK2 forum dedicated to off-road, inclement weather driving and any fails or tech related to it. I have my own off-road thread and I occasionally add to it but rather than a dedicated thread maybe we should have a dedicated forum with a master thread.

Re: The obvious thread

My Rubicon would have walked through that stuff. Not sure why I even ordered 4WD on my HA if it's that useless.

Re: The obvious thread

I mean it's all about the tire isn't it?.. And it doesn't help that he was turning all of the way and then punching the gas.

Definitely tires would have helped and a better driver.

Re: The obvious thread

Tires always make a difference. 4WD only maximizes the available traction, it doesn't make miracles. Clearly the driver had either summer or worn out all season tires instead of dedicated winter rubber. My RWD 7-Series easily handles any road condition when properly equipped.

And let's not forget the experts posting their inevitable, detailed psychoanalysis of each obvious failure every time those same failures are posted.
