The six feet and over crowd will appreciate this mod

One thing that has drove me nuts about the JGC is the driving position, in particular my left arm on the armrest. With the seat back reclined to a comfortable driving position my left elbow hits the hard plastic pillar to the rear of the door, making virtually impossible to rest my arm on the armrest.

With the help of a heat gun and a fire extinguisher(2 1/2" dia.) problem solved. May not be the cleanest looking of mods, but it's night and day difference as far as comfort!

The thing that bugs me is the rear view mirror placement. I'm 6' 3" and the mirror causes me tho have to duck my head to check on-coming traffic to the right. Awkward in the extreme!

I swear that someday there will be a feature that I dreamt up in all cars... I think the eyeball tracking software and hardware that is available could be used to track our eyes in the car and adjust mirrors if we are leaning left or right etc.

As for the arm rest mod, I am 6'2" and don't notice that at all. I will have to look into it when I get in the jeep next. I think I would have checked how much that particular part is worth before I did it, but I do have to say, you are committed to your comfort.

Same here! I can't believe how little visibility there is there.

I'll just say it since I would think most are thinking it. That's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

Yes, you just F'd up your Jeep. I would not have done that, no matter how comfortable it is for you.

I probably would of solved the problem by not “low riding" while you drive...

Meh.... its his jeep and his choice. I always loved the JK Forums as pretty much everything was accepted as a valid mod since its all a matter of taste.
