The sun came out :)

After looking at my drab, grey Jeep under the clouds of winter, the sun finally came out. My Maximum Steel vehicle dropped its cloak to reveal a more vibrant look. I figured it deserved a wash and wax.

I thought it looked good enough to put the finishing touch on it.

It will be 1 year old Friday, and so far so good.

The picture in my signature was taken the day I picked it up.

Re: The sun came out :)

Looks great Bill! I have fondness for Maximum Steel myself. I hand washed this afternoon with a citrus gloss wash, then detailed the rest of the outside as we had temperatures in the 70s. By the time I applied the tire dressing, I was pretty worn out. I have a good paint sealant covered by about 3 coats of carnuba wax for the remainder of the winter - then I will clay bar and remove wax early this spring, apply sealant with the Flex 3401 - then apply a higher gloss wax that compliments the Maximum Steel. It sure looks great when clean! Sorry I didn't take any pictures this afternoon as I did some yard work cleaning up after my dog and all the snow this winter.

Re: The sun came out :)

Hmm....I live about 6 miles from New Jersey. I guess you must be either way north or way south and looking at the Accuweather radar map, I'm guessing "way south"...'hope you get some sun soon!

Re: The sun came out :)

I almost gave my Jeep a bath today (at the car wash) but then looked at all the mounds of snow just waiting to melt today/tomorrow. Think I'll wait another week. Black only comes in two shades anyway: Brilliant Black or Is That A Black Vehicle?

Re: The sun came out :)

Since i'm in Florida, it's always sunny

I need to clean mine so the Maximum Steel color can show its true beauty. I absolutely love my Jeep in that color.
