Re: They're everywhere!

I see about a half dozen WK2s in my end of the city every so often (rarely three per day) as our paths cross. Another three I see in the country west of town. Saw about 8 WK2s on the recent trip to FL and back. (None kept up with me.)

Have not yet seen a single new Explorer.

Re: They're everywhere!

The explorer is newer than the wk2 so I'm not surprised you don't see them yet. When I tested it 4 weeks ago there were only a few in the city.

Of course after saying I never see wk2s I saw a white limited today at whole foods.

Re: They're everywhere!

It's sort of funny. I never really noticed the WKs before. After shopping and deciding to go with the Overland, I am noticing them all over the place; however, the Overlands are still rare.

Re: They're everywhere!

I see a ton of the test vehicles on the expressways around here (as well as actual owned ones). Im not too far from the tech center or the prooving grounds. Its neat to see brand new GC's driving around with oddball painted parts and data acquisition equipment on them.

Re: They're everywhere!

Well I can't say the same for the Anchorage area... I don't know what's going on up here. I have seen maybe 1 or 2 running around town. Granted my dealer has only been able to get 1 yes 1 overland in, and they sold it immediately!

Re: They're everywhere!

I'm not seeing them at all here in Nor Cal. In the couple months I've owned it I think I've see maybe 2 others; a black one and a white one. They're not that popular here for some reason. I'm a good spotter too, so I'm not missing them for lack of having my head on a swivel. Lots of Range Rovers though. I used to do the whole euro car thing, have owned a MBZ, several BMWs, and a Volvo. The "prestige" buyers don't know what they're missing these days. There's a lot of value in American cars, with the JGC being one of the tops in my mind if that's the kind of ride you need/want. My WK2 is half the price of my X5 and so far - a better vehicle in that it is more versatile. Yeah you can make the resale debate, but quality and customer surveys will change that and is in fact, changing now.

Re: They're everywhere!

Wife decided I would drive her to work on Friday... 22 miles round trip. I saw one WK2 on the morning trip and 4 on the afternoon trip.

BUT I AM NOT GOING TO WAVE TO YOU ANYMORE AS NONE OF YOU WAVE BACK... except for my neighbor who has a Summit. He does wave!
