I know what you mean. When I'm in my wife's suburban, it feels so skinny when I grip it with my hands. It's difficult to operate! Doesn't matter if I'm using one hand or two. I can't wait to grip the thick wood with both hands in my pretty Jeep!

Dubwarren, don't want to turn this into a swordfight or anything, but it's highly unlikely yours is thicker.

That said, you certainly have had wood way longer than the rest of us.
