Not mine. Every time I restart the vehicle, the radio comes on. Including when I mute it before I shut it off. Again, I looked in "settings", and I couldn't find anything to change or reset to stop it from doing this.

Is yours a very recent build?

The radio is always on because it is not just a radio. But a common complaint since the introductions of the '14 is that it always defaults to unmuted.

Some set the source to usb with either a blank or no usb in.

Yep, you can't turn the radio off as that is all the UConnect system is part of it. It's like the great all-in-one computers, 1 part goes basically the whole thing is crap (case in point).

Re: Thinking of dropping my Jeep

I just meant that if the sound on my radio is muted it is still muted when I restart the vehicle. It doesn't bother me that there is no off switch. You can always turn the entire screen off if it bothers you.

Re: Thinking of dropping my Jeep

For me, on mines...

the radio comes back on if i shut the vehicle off with the radio muted. Oct 13 build.

I really haven't had a need to turn off radio. Wouldn't want to be driving with a black screen.

Granted my only complaint is when going to the drive in movies and use my head unit to navigate to their station i must leave screen on or off but when off there is still some lighting. Oh and not to mention the 7" display and the lighting. Wish i could turn that off.

That's why I asked for your build date. So far you are the only one I heard of that stays muted. It might be something new.

If it's anything like mine, the sound level reverts back to the level prior to being muted.

Re: Thinking of dropping my Jeep

For me the sound level is under 10 after every restart. I always find myself turning volume up.
