the only reason that comes to mind why they'd do that, is for all the idiots that drive at night with just DRL on and not turning on real lights. like a reminder if you see the green you're good if you don't then turn on your lights...i have no idea lol but that's the only thing i can think of, another "safety" feature making it to standard form...

i'm curious how did the stock tires 20's handle the snow, cold, slush or any ice conditions you might have encountered?

Well, I'm no authority on snow driving (from TX), but I did kick it into snow mode and tried a couple of lead footed starts and also a hard stop to test the traction on a snow covered street, and I thought it felt very sure footed. I could feel the selec-terrain system shifting power looking for traction a couple of times, but I really couldnt make it break lose at all in regular driving. You may want to get a second opinion though from someone who knows wtf they're talking about, eg, lives where it snows.

Re: Thoughts after 2500 Miles

Nice write up!

First thing I noticed when I sat in a GC at the dealer was the hard seat. Comming from a WJ Limited with nice cushy seats, there is quite a difference. Hope what you say about softening up holds true!

Good luck with your new ride!

Re: Thoughts after 2500 Miles

Jeebus NB - you got mad photo skillz. Spectacular depth of field, color, and light.

MODS, I'll ask again, pretty please, can you please stickey Nbstatic's photos? Or maybe we have a WK2 photo stickey or sub-forum?

Re: Thoughts after 2500 Miles

Nbtstatic - you may have already done this, but if not try:

Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) .. let's discuss

It's not going to work miracles or anything, but I was surprised how much it helped with what felt like sluggish throttle response (and it only takes a couple seconds).

Did you try that? Did it work for you?
