Re: Thoughts after 2500 Miles

I did try it, and unless it was just VERY wishful thinking, did notice a change starting out from a stop.

Would be interested to hear other opinions.....

It was pretty good, I was getting about 23 cruising at highway speeds and I think my overal only dipped down to about 18 or 19, so I'll take that.

I had a 6.4 Diesel F250 directly before this, sooooo yea, that 23 is looking really nice to me.

NB
ETA: You know I did notice though, that in Colorado the regular unleaded gas is 85 octane and the mid grade is 87. Where I live (Dfw), regular is 87 and mid grade is 89. I was putting in Mid while I was up there because I wasnt sure what the deal was, maybe it has something to do with the thin air?

Wow, great pics. Do you have any interior ones? I was thinking of the same build. Thanks for posting.

Joe, do you have the V6, I can't remember? What are you getting around town?

I just went out there and checked again and it's still averaging 20 after some in town trips. Can't complain there, for a full time 4x4 system/Jeep.

Yes, I have V6 4x4 QT I (Laredo X). My mileage was really bad on the first tank - EVIC said 11.8 MPG, calculated was 10.8 MPG. This is about 90% city, 10% highway. I really don't know what to think - maybe I was idling a lot when learning car features. Maybe it needs more break-in - I only have 250 miles on the car. Will wait and see what it is on the second tank before jumping to any conclusions.

Yep, mine was pretty low first tank as well, run a couple more through there and see if it loosens up.

First fiill up -- after 360 miles with our overland hemi -- averaged 18.4 m.p.g. -- calculated. (30% city - 70% Highway at 60-65 mph) No WOT runs.

"Straight dino" is regular gas I assume (real dinosaur fossil fuel)? Yes, that's what I used. But last time I filled up I think I saw a label on the gas pump that gas has XX% ethanol added (don't remember exact number)

Something I noticed tonight: In sport mode, the slushy pedal is wiped out entirely. This would seem to indicate that it's definitely a computer setting the electronic throttle response, and in sport it gets dialed over to the sensitive setting.
