Forcast this morning was 100% thunderrstorms but mustabin elsewhere. In any event have been puttering instead of going to the beach. Maybe the pot picture will help.
Also finally got around to fixing the rear blind spot issue. No real problem had checked out on bench before installing because I was using a Peak camera and a VR3 display (temporary until I replace the 130 "media center" with something better. Anyone know if the 430 has a composite video input ? Really looking for something Android based with about a 7" display but may have to cobble something.
Sorry, picture of a picture washed out but can see just fine & is color just a 3.5" just stuck on the vent.
Sorry, which part were you having difficulty with ? Guess I made a misteak putting two things in one post but both were today and on my list.
First was that since I have not been able to buy a 180F thermostat for a Pentastar, I built one out of a factory 05184651AF and a Stant 45848. Just some grinding, cutting, twiddling, silicone sealer. Pot shows it full open 15F lower than the factory unit. Total cost about $20. I really don't like engine temps over 200F, IMNSHO is hard on both everything under the hood and the a/c. Figured those with better eyes than mine would see the "180" on the copper. Guess was rong.
After lunch I added a blind spot camera that mounts on top of the license plate. Had already used the rear-view mirror monitor on my RV (doesn't work with the autodim/microphone on WK2) so temporarily adapted a little compsite monitor from another project. Have always been a bit nervous about backing because of the ginormous blind spot in the rear. Now I know why all GMC Terrains have one. All WK2s should also but they had to cut something on the loss-leader. Think the pieces here ran about $50, $60 with the duct mount.
Still to come is a 7" LCD on the dash as soon as I decide what to replace the 130 with & why I asked if a 430 has a composite (video) input.
