Re: Tire question

I think 95% of the time aftermarket wheels look like crap. I think the wheels on the overland look great I can't understand why anyone would want to replace them with some aftermarket wheel that just makes its look cheap. I don't where people get the idea the factory doesn't align these. I always understood it was hard to get an alignment as good as the factory.

I read somewhere that the factory only allows like 40 seconds to adjust the alignment. Now how good of a 4 wheel alignment can be done in 40 seconds?

Here are some fun facts. The older ford f150 didn't even come with cam adjusters in the upper control arms. So before you could align it you had to remove the old bolts and install the cam bolts. Another note the gm trucks/SUVs came with plastic clips so you'd have to remove those to align it. Also think about how the car gets to the dealership? It's strapped down like mad during transport? After you by a new car get an alignment save those free tires.
