First time I've purchased the same vehicle twice. I had japanese car, sports cars, american cars, the a Land Rover which all werepurchased new. The rover had a great ride but was at the dealer about 6 times in 2 yrs... Out of anger I drove by a Jeep dealer traded in the rover for a Laredo X package back in 2005 Have been extremely happy with everything on it since specially the great deal I received then. Been looking for a new car then went to the 2009 Auto-show here in NY and saw the new Grand Cherokee. So I waited and waited and waited and waited. Went to BMW to get X5 out of impatience and walked out. Soooo happy I did took delivery of my Overland black/beige 5.7 yesterday and I am beyond impressed. The ride the power the smoothness the build the materials the look the sound sytem the heated steering wheel, the nav the seat comfort has really exceeded my expectation. If this Jeep is as reliable as my last one. I can't see how any other vehicle in the segment can even compete. If Chrysler can get their act together with the build and work on their sales guys being more knowledgeable no one can touch them. Its struely a great vehicle and to think you could climb mountains to boot is an amazing feat in technology.

If anyone is loosing patience as I was. Its worth the wait.

After many Jeeps over the years, I was ready for something different. I checked out the KIA, Honda pilot, 4Runner, Highlander. Neither I nor my wife were pleased. Finally we decided to try the Grand Cherokee. We both loved the ride, I was satisfied with the 4x4 and V6 engine performance, so I dropped the rest and concentrated on a Jeep. Ended up with a Laredo E package, adventure, towing, keyless remote etc., heated mirrors, QTII. We are very happy so far. We are considering going for a second.
