tough closing door

Just brought home my overland with 70 miles on it and the passenger side front door needs to be slammed to have it fully closed. All three other doors seem to be working as they should. Anyone else encounter this problem? Does the door just need to be worked a bit more to soften the door seals? or could something be off? thanks in advance! Love the forum!

Re: tough closing door

Yeah, it was discussed a few threads back. It does take a little getting used to but overtime, it kind of loosens up a bit. The first 2 weeks, I don't know how many times my wife had to open close the door LOL.

Yes I had this as well, It should get better after its closed 20 or 30 times. Try closing it with one of the windows open and see if it closes easier. I have also found that the last door to be closed is a little harder to close. I think its because everything is sealed up good on this this vehicle and the pressure inside makes it harder to close.

+1
What he said. With my sunroof open, the door now closes almost "loosely".

Re: tough closing door

We don't have the same problem with our passenger side door, but I do have similar problem with my rear hatch. Since the rear glass is designed to be opened, the fitment is not 100% secure to the hatch itself. As I close the hatch, the glass rattles a little bit, and this makes me a bit uncomfortable. Because of this, I end up closing the hatch twice because my first attempt is usually too soft and wimpy.
