Re: Tough color decision: deep Cher red or min gray?!?

We were exactly in the same situation. Mineral Grey or Deep Cherry Red.

In the end, as the car was for my wife as a daily drive, we went for the Deep Cherry Red.

Don't regret it one bit as it looks awesome in the flesh and the colour changes so much with the light conditions. It is also the only Deep Cherry Red that I have seen on the roads in the region that I live. ( I do know that there is a Deep Cherry Red Limited getting arouns as we seen it for sale at the dealer).

Re: Tough color decision: deep Cher red or min gray?!?

The MG GC is everywhere. I think half of them are that color. I saw a red one in overland trim with the chrome side-steps and I must admit...had me thinking. The saddle interior also works MUCH better with red as they are both warm colors. It does not coordinate with grey at all....basic design school stuff.
With so many MG on the road I'm starting like the other colors as well as red. BTW, red is a safer driving color as well!

Cheers

Re: Tough color decision: deep Cher red or min gray?!?

Well since every other GALB around here is silver or gray, I went with the red, makes it easy to find in a parking lot and the fact is that I like it. Key is to have the right accents but then my tastes were formed in the '60s.

Not sure why they call it "cherry" since it is more of a carmine or even crimson, much deeper than "resale red". Is the fourth new car with similar colors have had so must be biased. Suspect I may wind up with a body colored grille though.

Re: Tough color decision: deep Cher red or min gray?!?

Thanks for the replies and opinions. Checked some out this weekend and decided I hate the red. Saw a beautiful stone white which I am trying to talk the wifey into. Mineral gray is now my second choice to stone white. Gonna make the final decision tomorrow when we order. Wish inferno red was still the red. Saw a nice 2011 Durango in that. No offense to the deep cherry owners tho!

Re: Tough color decision: deep Cher red or min gray?!?

Color is really a personal choice. I went with the Deep Cherry Red and the black/saddle interior. The other color selections are mostly in the black color family and I find them boring. But as I stated its really a personal choice.

Re: Tough color decision: deep Cher red or min gray?!?

I like the Stone White too, but again only on the upper models. Looks like a fleet car on the Laredo IMHO.

Wife hates white cars though...

Ditto. Delighted with our red and saddle combo, but is chocolate better than fudge? Go with what you like, but be sure to see the alternative colors in person, not online, and in various lighting situations before signing on the dotted line.
