Re: Tough color decision: deep Cher red or min gray?!?

Red is flashy (sports car, SRT) and grey is classy (luxury). My Corvette is red and my Jeep is silver.

I don't like the Deep Cherry Red because it's too dark. It's not flashy at all; it almost looks maroon. I liked the Inferno Red much better.

+1

I would have ordered my 2012 Overland in Inferno Red if it had been available, becuase when I saw Deep Cherry red I didn't like it as it is way too dark. I ended up ordering a Brilliant Black Overland. I like black wheels and trim on my cars and the Deep Cherry Red would not have looked good with black accents - it looks better with chrome.

Re: Tough color decision: deep Cher red or min gray?!?

I ended up ordering stone white since it looks the same in all lights. Red was pretty nice in the sun, but in the shade it's maroon and I do not like maroon cars. Mineral gray my wife didnt like at all. We went with the safe bet of white. Wish it was pearl white. And wish the red was "redline 2 pearl" like a Durango rt I saw once. The GC doesn't have very good color choices that's for sure.

I started with charcoal, and in fact ordered one in a Laredo x. Then I saw a white overland and fell in love and bought it out of the showroom floor. Really sweet! I do wish they had more of a pearl white like the four runner, but the wk2 still has class in it's form of white.

Totally Agree! It's almost like picking the lesser of the evils when choosing a color, rather than finding one you're absolutely IN LOVE with!

You'll like it. It looks awsome in the sun. The metalflake really pops in the sunlight.

I agree. This seems to be the norm with all brands today. When I ordered my Deep Cherry Red JGC Overland, they had no green, blue, yellow, or brown selections. They had four versions of black, two of white, one red, and an ugly verson of puke green. I asked the salesman, who picks these drab colors? He laughed.

This is maroon. It's nothing like the deep cherry but looks good in it's own right.

Re: Tough color decision: deep Cher red or min gray?!?

Heres some comparison shots at at chance meeting at Home Depot in Paterson NJ. All pics where from an Iphone. There are duplicate shots showing the difference between HD and regular. ( Iphone snaps 2 shots of same pic in HD mode.)

Cant go wrong with either color IMO.
