Specs from the Roo 21SS Hybrid:

Dry Weight 3972lbs
GVWR 5626lbs
Cargo Capacity 1233lbs
Hitch Weight 645lbs
Axle Weight 3327lbs

Under the 6200LBS even fully loaded, however it worries me with the Hitch Weight.. What are your thoughts? I have 2014 Limited w/ V6 (ORA-II w/ QL & Tow Package).

My thoughts are to get an electric tongue jack, other than that it wouldn't be an issue. You can always go hook it up at the dealership and give it a test pull, dealers don't have a problem with that.

The tow package and advanced electronics of the jeep will already reduce sway, so you should be good. If you do feel like it sits too low in the back, just get a weight distribution hitch to take weight off the tongue and you'll be golden. I'm using this one so everything is nice and level and weight is distributed evenly between my axles.

What vehicle are you going to be using to pull that? I have a 14' V6, so 6200Lbs max.

** BTW - Thank's for posting those up. I'l trying to get pricing I see a few smaller ons that I could pull easily at 4500lb maximum weight. **

Do you know how the brake controllers hook up on the 12-14's? Is there a plug under the dash that I can hook into? I haven't looking into it that much, but I know all of the trailers that I am looking at for the most part have brakes so it will be needed.

If you have the towing package it should come with a pigtail that plugs into a connector under the dash.

I have a rPod and I pull it with a V6 RAV4. This is why I am looking to buy a CRD GC. The RAV4 just can not handle the long hot steep Arizona mountain grades. I tow often and tow multiple trailers and I want to be able to easily pull any trailer that I want to. I think the jeep v6 will pull better the the RAV4 but I just want the extra torque to err on the safe side.

I'll mostly be roaming up and down the east coast, family trip to Disney World - those sorts of things. I will stay below 4500lbs GVWR so I should be good to go. The wife is actually started to get excited about getting a camper. I never would have thought she would be on-board.

We were looking at others but now we are leaning towards the:
KZ Recreational Vehicles: SpreeŽ Escape Travel Trailers

Specifically:
KZ Recreational Vehicles: SpreeŽ Escape E21FKT

Unfortunately the closest dealer is in DE so I guess I'll need to take a road trip to see them in person.

Right now I'm pulling it with an '06 dakota with the 4.8 V8, towing capacity 7000lbs, I am going to be buying a CRD WK2 as soon as they're available, so our tongue weight capacities will be the same, but my max towing will be a little more.

As far as hooking up the brake controller, since you got the tow package with 7pin connector already there, it'll just be a matter of mounting it in your cab and plugging it into the harness, as mentioned above. I've got a prodigy digital controller and love it.

We went KZ-Spree for the all aluminum construction, don't have to worry about wood rot from water leaks, absolutely love it so far. Pulls like a champ, too. Much easier than my pontoon boat that's half the weight.

Did the 11-13 WK2s come with the wiring harness? On my 2008, I had to buy a wiring harness and connect it to a power source and the brake light switch.

I currently pull a popup with my 2010 JKU with no problems. The popup, fully loaded is about 3200 lbs. I use a WDH when fully loaded. We are looking to upgrade the popup to a travel trailer at the beginning of spring 2014. The TT will be too much for the Wrangler so I'll trade my Honda in on a new tow vehicle. I am really interested in the CRD JGC that has a tow capacity of 7200 lbs. the TT I'm looking at is the Rockwood Ultra Lite 2702SS. Here are the specs:

2702ss
Length 31'11"
Hitch weight 613 lbs
Dry weight 5276 lbs
Cargo capacity 1299 lbs
GVWR 6575 lbs

I would define tally be using WDH all the time.

This TT is under the tow capacity limit of the JGC even if its fully loaded to the GVWR; however, can the JGC practically pull a 32" TT? Is anyone pulling anything similar? Is it as cut and dry as trailer weight or does length or anything else I may not be considering factor in (wheel base?)? For what it's worth, all cargo would be in the TT. The fam would be the only payload in the vehicle. Me, wife, kids, and dog are estimated at 550 lbs.

My other thought on tow vehicle would be to check out the 2014 Ram CRD 1500 but the tow capacity would likely be similar to a little more on the Ram. The new tow vehicle would also be my daily driver so I'd love the comfort and styling of the JGC.

Any thought, experiences, or general towing advice would be appreciated!
