That's too bad, my recent experience, also with affiliate pricing on the new Jeep (i.e no haggle) is that the ACV on the trade from five dealers ranged from $17,000 to $24,000 (the largest dealers offered the least). With the affiliate program, I usually shop the trade in value, advertise the vehicle for private sale with what the dealer offered for trade plus say $500 more. For reference, my KBB trade in value for good shape was ~$25000.
If you don't have the affiliate pricing, negotiating the new car price and ACV separately gives a bit more flexibility (although you will be disappointed with how much the trade is worth to the dealer). Sometimes your time is worth more than the trouble, but the best way to to optimize the deal is to compete dealers, although they usually hate it when you do that.
I get more telemarketers and scams from cars.com and autotrader than its worth sometime. Craigs list not so much.
