Traded my 2014 GC

Traded my 2014 V6 Summit for a 2015 Summit V8, and I couldn't be happier..

The V8 definitely drives different, much more power and no lag when you put your foot down.
Steering is slightly heavier, graphics in the dash have better definition. Parking sensor appear to be a little less sensitive and don't bleep as early as the 14 did.
Went for a black interior.

One thing I cannot find, I set my maps to be black all the time in the 14. Cannot seem to do this in the 15.

Re: Traded my 2014 GC

Glad you made the trade up - I think you'll find the V8 isn't too far below the V6 in gas mileage either.

Re: Traded my 2014 GC

Congrats on the trade. Love the V8 in my Summit and everytime I listen to that Hemi puur through all 8 gears it's like music to my ears.
I used to have a 2012 Overland V6 and regretted the V6 purchase not long after purchase. HUGE difference going from the '12 V6 to the '14 V8 especially because the new tranny. How much of a difference would you say there is between the newer ones with the 8spd? As far as sound, power, driving characteristics and fun factor?
As far as the maps, I didn't even know you can chance the colors lol. Guess I'll have to do some digging around in the menus again.

Congrats on the trade.

Making the map background black "was" done by putting the display in night mode instead of auto.

Re: Traded my 2014 GC

I wander why the graphics in the dash would have better definition.. Did they change something?

Do you notice if the ride is quieter? Since you now have noise cancellation and more acoustic glass.

Congrats! How much money do you think you lost in the trade? 10-15k?

Re: Traded my 2014 GC

It is quieter than the 14 during normal driving, if I booted the 14 you could hear the V6, booting the V8 sounds a lot nicer but perhaps a little quieter.
Fun factor has increased considerably, much better throttle response even in ECO mode.
Not sure how much I lost in the end, maybe $7K but the grin factor makes up for that and I have a car I really like driving.
Fuel economy so far does not appear to be that much different vs the V6.

I know setting the display in night mode made it black. The 15 has two options 'Auto' and 'Manual'. Setting to manual does not add any additional options for day or night.

Re: Traded my 2014 GC

Oh ok I thought you guys meant you can change the actual mapping colors not just day/night/auto modes. That I knew about, but like my Acura for example you can even change the colors of the maps and stuff.
As far as the maps in the Jeep mine is always in auto. Never saw a need to have it do otherwise.

LMAO You're drunk.
