Trail Rated Badge Location

Does anyone have the measurements of where the trail rated badge is located? Or of a template? My WK2 did not have the ORA package but came with the 18" wheels. I've since added the tow hooks and skid plates. I'd like to add the trail rated badge but I want to make sure I put it in the correct location.

Re: Trail Rated Badge Location

Make sure you put it in the exact spot otherwise people will know. I can't do it since I have 20" wheels. LOL

You could paint your tires so they say "18" in prominent letters?
Or, just buy some 18's and cut that OWL section out and glue it to the 20s...

LOL, that's not a bad idea.

My other thought was to get a set of 18" and just velcro the Trail Badge when I have them on the car. On the other hand it might be cheaper to just buy an old Jeep Liberty since they came with the badge as long as it had low.

I have to call my dealer. After seeing Jack's picture I think mine is a little high. Should I let them reposition the existing badge or have them order a new one?

In all seriousness, I would get that sorted out right away. You know it's a whole yin-yang thing and I wouldn't go off road without that being in the exact spot it's suppose to be. I don't want you to end up in a ditch.

Hmmm. I think you should "lemon" your GC. Jeep needs to buy it back - pay for their mistake!

Re: Trail Rated Badge Location

This is what they show for the badge location on a WJ. From pics I've seen of the badge on a WK2 it looks very close to this.

I did, and I have 20" wheels. I have QD-II, Mopar Rock Rails, and full skid plates too though. I figured that with all of that, my Jeep is Trail Rated.

Stock 20" or did you go with an AT tire to warrant that badge?

I was thinking of dipping a badge in gold and changing it to 'Sand Rated' since I don't have skid plates yet. Think that would fly?
