Trailer Hitch Directions

Does anybody know where I can get the trailer hitch installation guide that Jeep produces? I am having a hard time trying to remove the rear bumper. The post that shows step by step picutres misses a few steps. The 4/7 pin electrical kit came with instructions. Does anybody know if there are similar instructions for the hitch?

Re: Trailer Hitch Directions

I am about to install a factory hitch myself and would find it helpful. particularly on removing the rear wheel well molding. I know you are supposed to remove the rivets and 2 screws near the back of the well, but am a bit nervous about pulling the snaps on the portion towards the front of the well.

Re: Trailer Hitch Directions

Looked up the parts once and AFAIR, it is not just the hitch and connector but also the whole rear fascia and support that is different. The factory receiver slides into the "frame" channels and then gets four bolts through the channel on each side.

Suspect aftermarket recievers (e.g. U-Haul) use a U channel over the "frame rails" and extend under the stock fascia.

Below is a picture of the factory installation. Black bar on left side is the receiver.
