Indeed, I am interested in it. I would not do so while it is under warranty so as not to get into a for any claims. However, if you look at my above quote, the build sheet does indicate an engine oil cooler. My google foo must be weak because I could not pull anything up on line about what/ where it may be. Do you have an idea?

I have the 14 hemi so it may be different but i the brief look i took there are two sets of "oil" type lines. each set of 2 goes to a different side of the radiator. i never traced the lines all the way back to thier origin but why 2 sets of lines unless oil and tranny lines... and no neither is the steering fluid..i followed those as well to thier separate cooler.

That was the point of this whole thread. There's so much confusion and misinformation out there on what specific fluid coolers exist. So for my 2011 model with a 5.8L, I traced them all to know for sure. I would tend to believe that all 11'-13' models with 5.8L and Trailer Tow Group IV package are the same (but cannot confirm this)

I have the package build codes for all 2011 JGC platform (should be the same through 2013):

AHX Trailer Tow Group IV..................All Vehicles.............$695 (retail)
Incl 220-amp alternator, Suspension, rear load leveling, H/D Engine Cooling, Class IV
receiver hitch & 7 & 4 pin wiring harness, Deletes rear tow hook - Incl TBB (full size spare package).

Bottom line, it says this package is available for all models. There's another common tow package (AHT) which is just the hitch, wiring, and FS spare (no HD engine cooling).

Sorry to revive a sleeping thread, but why would a window sticker and build sheet indicate an "engine oil cooler" if there is not one?

Some vehicles use the counter-current flow principle for cooling oil. Subaru does that, albeit in a very small place, to cool transmission oil. Basically, the "cooler" coolant pipes flow in opposite direction to "hot" oil pipes, removing heat. There is small section inside the radiator where oil pipes are in close proximity/touching the fins of the radiator. It is not very efficient though.

My Subie has a water-oil cooler where the oil filter is. Just like the SRT Hemi. This is one thing that bugs me. The GC is "supposed" to have one.

What would be considered a maximum safe engine oil temperature? Mine in my 5.7 V8 2014 Jeep climbed to 260 F when towing a travel trailer up a long hill in the NC mountains. Is this too hot? The on dash temperature gauge was just fine.
